Indian Politician "Muslims are not equal" video sparks Controversy

India's ruling party leader Subramanian Swamy sparks controversy in his latest interview to Vice journalist Isobel Yeung. On a question asked by Isobel he said that "On Citizenship Ammendment Bill (CAA) the whole country is with our government, it was a commitment of which our party has made over several years

"That country will always be in trouble where Muslim population is large".

The interviewer told that India is the second largest country by Muslim population, Swamy replied that when Muslim population become more than 30% that country will be in danger.

Isobel Yeung reminded him that the Article 14 of Indian constitution guaranteed equality before law for all, Swamy replied that "Equality for all equals". All people are not equal. Several human rights organisations condemned this statement of Swamy over Muslims. 

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted the clip of Subramanian Swamy and compared the BJP with the Nazi party of Germany.

Swamy is known for his anti-Muslim statements, In 2011 he was charged for promoting ethnic violence between Hindus and Muslims in India, he also demanded that voting right should be snatched from those Muslims who deny to acknowledge their 2000 years old Hindu legacy.
